Does the regular Xbox 360 controller (wired) work with P.C. and if so, does it work with only specific games?

Plain Xbox 360 controller with a wire, on the P.C.? I'm getting ironman for pc and i want to know.

It should work. When I got guitar hero for PC (Vista), and I plugged in the guitar (it comes with the 360 model), Windows immediately recognized it as a 360 game controller and integrated it perfectly for the game.





The controllers work for games made to work with said controllers. You might want to check out the details on that game specifically first before buying it.
Reply:Yes it does work for pc, i bought mine specifically and works on almost every game that has a controller option, so yes it will work on Ironman. But you will need to install the software, cause i bought mine for pc it came with a cd to install it, but you can download yours from the Microsoft site http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gaming... just chose Controller, Xbox controller for Windows, your OS and your language and download the software, shouldnt take long. Once installed your controller should work.
Reply:it works like any other pc controller (plug and play) so games will tell you if it can be played with pc controllers ^^
