When ever i try to open my C drive it is prompting choose a program. you have to select internet explorer.?
your computer may affected by adware, malware or root-kit etc internet worm which symantec cannot guess try spyware doctor or avg anti-spyware,anti-rootkitor, lavasoft antiadware etc special software which work much than security suite in such condition
Reply:I got this problem sometime ago. What happens is that sometimes when viruses are deleted after affecting some file in ur C drive u get that message.

What u do is right click on it then select "Explore"
Reply:It is due to virus infection on autorun.inf file in C drive. This file may be quarantine or deleted by anti virus. You can recover quarantine file to solve the problem, but this is not fully safe. Only the way to solve this problem is format the drive.
Reply:open command prompt

then go to ur C drive (C drive not on any folder)

type

attrib autorun.inf -s -h -r [enter]

now type and enter

del autorun.inf [enter]

go to each drive of ur hard disk using command prompt and repeat the same procedure

now u can access ur drives

but buddy

u will also be having some other problems also like

1) right now u r not abled to access task manager or

2) u may also not be able to use folder options

these are other issues which i wont be telling here. ask some other time

and also dont forget to remove the virus u still have by using some good antivirus

fantasy
Reply:try rebooting your computer.....

PC's act funny like that... it's happened to me before as well.

Try right-clicking your C drive and choose open. If it opens, you probably just need to reboot
