D&C for miscarriage, what can't i do afterwards?

i had D%26amp;C laz nyt afta havin m/c @ 6weeks last wed, i opted not have D%26amp;C straight away in hope 2 pass it naturally, this option was given 2 me but it didn't pass naturally, most did but bit didn't so ended up having d%26amp;c 1week later. However 1 hour before d%26amp;c i'm convinced i passed remaining stuff but stil had d%26amp;c. Doc said no complications will arise 4 not havin d%26amp;c straight away. i was given leafet that said don't use tampons, may bleed for 1week, resume sexual activities when comfortable. My bleeding is only the smallest amount of spotting (maybe because i bled for 1week before d%26amp;c i'm not sure), had cramping right afta surgery + tiny bit this morning but that eased now, they said all went well with d%26amp;c + no complications at all. Just wondering how long spotting will last if its only real tiny amount spotting day after(today)? Wondering what i can't do as i've read on net i can't bathe or swim after d+c but doc+gyno didn't mention this. anything else i should know

Reply:I had a D%26amp;C in Dec. My doctor was awesome. I also think that you should relax and take it easy. I wouldn't use tampons just yet when you get your first period afterwards. I didn't bleed at all after the day I had my D%26amp;C. But everyone is different. I also waited 2 weeks to resume intercourse.
Reply:I had a d%26amp;c a long time ago. I could bathe straight away. Spotted for a week or so. No tampons for a few weeks and no intercourse for 4 weeks is what I was told.
Reply:they covered it well. just relax and wait a few weeks and all will be fine
Reply:Dont take bathes. If your cervix is at all even a little open you can have the worst infection and the antibiotics are so strong they give you. And I would let your body heal before using tampons. By the way, Im so sorry for your loss
